Poor Hayden was so brokenhearted. We could barely get her to settle down to go to bed. Hallie also was very sad and kept begging us to get a new cat (we previously had two cats that we had to get rid of for reasons no one wants to hear about!) She kept asking us to please get rid of the dog so that we could get a cat. She came up with a very logical argument as to why cats are better than dogs, sadly for her, mom and dad were not sold. So then we had two crying children.
Meanwhile, as you can see Avery was not nearly as effected, she was busy posing for pictures:

Poor Hayden, she must have some of her aunt Natalie running through her. Avery of course takes more after aunt Katie! How one loves them and one hates them!! Sounds like Hallie uses some of the same logic you guys used to try! I think you should get her a kittie.
Poor baby. What a meanie you are. The poor girl just needs a furry, cuddly friend. :( I am sad for her.
A kitty would make a good Christmas present!! Classic pictures!! You Gildea Girls have such a sense of humor, I love it!! My kids want a dog for Christmas and despite my negative attitude about it I think we will do it. Only for the kids sake. We can always get rid of it right :)
We are NOT getting a kitty. We have had two that didn't work out. Besides we have a dog and 4 kids under 6, I think our house if full. Poor Sadie doesn't even get any attention, can you imagine if we got a cat, she would be so jealous. She is such a sensitive dog!
We "adopted" a kitty for about the same amount of time last year with the same result. We were living with my mom and my mom was coming home so out went the kitty and in came the tears. I'm not a cat person by any stretch and so the tears had no affect and eventually stopped. Funny story though.
I know you don't want a kitty but.... Nancy Hansen has them coming out her ears. So........
