Update On Our Little Man

Jaxton saw the cardiologist today. He had an echo cardiogram and also an EKG. The echo cardiogram took over an hour. That is such a long time for a five month old to have to hold still. Luckily he slept for the first half an hour because after he woke up he wanted to chew on all of the wires and roll all over and he kept arching his back trying to get away.

After a very long 3 hour doctor appointment, he had enough of sitting still. But all of the news was very good. On his last echo, he had a hole in his heart that has totally closed up. Also on his last echo his heart functionality was borderline, today it was 100% normal. The doctor wants to see him again in three months and as long as he hasn't had anymore episodes of the SVT, he will let him start outgrowing his medicine. If all goes well with that, he should be off of the medicine when he is one year and 3 weeks old. Hooray!

We are so grateful that everything is going so well. The inconveniences that we face with his medication and doctor's appointments are so minor. We are so grateful to all of you who have fasted and prayed for him. We know your prayers have been heard and answered. We just love our Jaxton and can't imagine our family without him.

So glad that everything is great! You don't want to have your kids suffer in any way. Kids are amazing in how they recover from bad things that happen to them. SO THANKFUL FOR YOUR FAMILY!!

By the way: he has the biggest prettiest eyes.

Your blog is one of the cutest I've seen. You'll have to tell me where you find your templates. I'm so glad to hear about your little guy's awesome progress. Jaycee has filled me in a little on his complications since he was born. It sounds like he's a little fighter, and such a cutie too. Don't you just love little boys? Congrats on the news of the latest doctor visit. Go Jaxton!

The baptism is going to be in EG on Saturday the 12th of January. We would love it if you could be there.
We weren't the star by any means just in charge so you know how that goes.

I just got your Christmas card today and it was so darling! Great idea to fold the letter and make it a card too. Where did you think of that? That is such great news about Jaxton. Kids are so amazing! I still am amazed about Avery's eyesight too. That is such a miracle. Thanks for your birthday comments too, that was so nice! I can't wait to see all of you Gildea girls at Kristine's wedding!
